H.M. New Register House, Edinburgh, EH1 3YT

The visit will begin with a welcome from the Lord Lyon King of Arms and the Lyon Clerk and Keeper of the Records. The Lord Lyon will then give a presentation on the history and work of the Court and an introduction to Heraldry in Scotland, which is carefully regulated by the Court.

The Lyon Clerk will welcome us to the Court’s offices and show us selected entries from the Public Register of All Arms and Bearings in Scotland, established in 1672 and maintained and added to continuously each year up to the present day.

Limited to 15 places

The images show the Lyon Court Shield ensigned with the Crown of the Lord Lyon; and (below) H.M. New Register House in central Edinburgh where the Court of the Lord Lyon has its Offices.
