The BL preserves the nation's heritage for future generations and makes it accessible to everyone, its collections span almost three millennia and every continent, totalling over 175 million items. FNL’s earliest support was in the form of donations of books and manuscripts, the first in 1931 - the year FNL was founded. Since then well over 400 grants/donations have been made including one donation of 14 manuscripts and over 100 books, valued at over £7m, from the Blavatnik Honresfield Library.
You will be able to see some of these treasures, and learn more about them from British Library curators; the visit will end with refreshments.
