Wednesday 3 June, 11am-12.30pm

Limited to 16 places

The Natural History Museum’s Library and Archives preserves one of the world’s finest collections of natural history literature, artwork, archives, and manuscripts, dating from 1469 to the present day. Since opening our doors to the public in 1881, we have continued to develop our collections and to make them accessible to everyone. The visit will include an opportunity to see the natural history artworks by Sarah Stone and two volumes of George Murray Levick’s manuscripts notes from Antarctica – both acquired with support from FNL – alongside many other highlights of the collection. The programme will also feature a visit to our Paper Conservation Studio, offering insight into the conservation processes and the work we carry out to preserve our collections.
