The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is England's oldest medical royal college and has a collection of objects, art, documents, and books dating back to its foundation in 1518. These collections are housed today in a 1964 grade-I listed modernist building designed by architect Denys Lasdun, best known for the National Theatre on London’s Southbank.

This guided tour will introduce visitors to Lasdun’s building, to the history and collections of the RCP, and to the new exhibition ‘A body of knowledge’, an exploration of 500 years of book collecting at the college.
